PAUL LAIKIN Script Supervisor/Copy Editor Laikin is a best-selling author with over 70 humor books to his credit. He began as a stage comedian with the likes of Jerry Lewis and Alan King. He then adapted his stage talent to the written word, writing jokes for Milton Berle, Jan Murray and others. Laikin was one of the original writers for MAD Magazine since 1957. Very prolific, he soon began supplying material to other humor magazines such as Playboy, SICK, Parody, Wacko, Crazy, Cracked et al., soon becoming editor and chief writer of Cracked, a position he held for many years. Laikin was also a top writer for Merv Griffin Productions for several years during which time he created ideas for several TV game shows like, “Let’s Play Post Office”, “Reach for the Stars”, “The Baby Game” and others. His reach expanded into Hollywood where he wrote for feature films like “The Sex O’Clock News,” and record albums like “LBJ In The Catskills.” Among Laikin’s other credits are the creations of such pop culture icons as Topp’s “Wacky Packages” (stickers spoofing popular consumer products) and the “JFK Coloring Book” which was on the NY Times best-seller list for 16 weeks. Laikin’s humor has always been on the cutting edge and his masterful satire has mirrored youthful culture for decades. He brings a light, fresh and creative approach to all the copywriting, narrations and advertisements for our clients.
